Reporting directly to the CFO, below is a description of duties and responsibilities for the position:
The Bookkeeping/Human Resources Assistant role will be to assisting in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements and assisting Human Resources with a variety of tasks.
Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.
The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines with accuracy.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
Handling office tasks, such as filing, answering phone calls, responding to emails, etc.
Prepare customer invoices and monitor payment status.
Reporting bi-weekly payroll to payroll company.
Assist with answering employee questions on payroll and benefits.
Creating and distributing documents.
Serving as a point of contact with benefits vendors/administrators.
Collecting employment and tax information.
Ensuring background and reference checks are completed.
Overseeing the completion of benefits documents.
Maintain employee files.
Participate in formal and informal training programs to increase skill and expertise.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Office management systems and procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.
g.
, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work.
Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
Effectively communicate with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
Education and
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Associate degree in accounting and/or Human Resources or related field.
Experience using QuickBooks a plus but not required.
